
Ali Fatima Hospital, in collaboration with Green International University, observed World Diabetes Day 2023 with an insightful and awareness-driven event highlighting the global and national burden of diabetes, particularly pre-diabetes.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Arslan Nawaz, Consultant Endocrinologist at UCMD, who was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gillani, Rector of Green International University, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Bhatti, Principal of Abu Umara Medical and Dental College (AUMDC), and other senior faculty members.
The program began with the Recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat Shareef, setting a respectful and spiritual tone for the occasion.
Guest speakers, including Dr. Arslan Nawaz, provided valuable insights into the growing prevalence of pre-diabetes and diabetes in Pakistan and around the world. They emphasized the need for awareness, early detection, and lifestyle modifications to manage and prevent diabetes.

They discussed the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diabetes in both adults and children, emphasizing a multi-disciplinary approach to diabetes care.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rector Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gillani, and commemorative shields were presented to the distinguished guests as a token of appreciation.
