World AIDS Day Awareness Seminar

🎗️ Theme: Raising Awareness for HIV Prevention

To mark World AIDS Day 2022, an impactful awareness event was organized by Ali Fatima Hospital Lahore in collaboration with Abu Umara Medical & Dental College (AUMDC) and Green International University (GIU). The event aimed to educate students, healthcare professionals, and the public about HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, and management

🔹 Chief Guest:
Prof. Dr. Tariq Bhatti, Principal, AUMDC, honored the event with his presence and shared valuable insights on the importance of awareness and education in combating HIV.

🔹 Introductory Session:
Delivered by Dr. Ishfaq, Head of the Department of Medicine, Ali Fatima Hospital, who emphasized the significance of early diagnosis and preventive strategies.

🔹 Scientific Session Speakers:

• Dr. Maimona Irshad, Senior Registrar, Infectious Diseases (HIV Clinic), Services Hospital Lahore

• Prof. Dr. Faheem, Professor of Pediatrics and Infectious Diseases, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College Lahore

Both speakers highlighted the current challenges, treatment advancements, and preventive measures related to HIV/AIDS in Pakistan.

🎪 Awareness Stalls:
To further disseminate information, two awareness stalls were set up:

• At Ali Fatima Hospital: For educating patients and visitors

• At GIU Campus: Targeting student awareness and peer education

The event successfully engaged the audience, sparked meaningful discussions, and reinforced the need for continued advocacy in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
