
In collaboration with the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC), a seminar titled “Implementation of the Regulatory Regime Towards Improving the Quality of Healthcare” was held on January 3, 2024, at Abu Umara Medical and Dental College (AUMDC) / Ali Fatima Hospital, Lahore.
The seminar was graced by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Sulehri, Director Clinical, PHC, who was warmly welcomed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Bhatti (Principal AUMDC), Dr. Dimple Mustafa (Medical Superintendent, AFH), and Dr. Muhammad Nasir Dilshad (Deputy Medical Superintendent, AFH).
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Bhatti opened the session with a welcome address to all participants. The Chief Guest, Dr. Mushtaq Ahmad Sulehri, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the mandate of PHC, with a special focus on Minimum Service Delivery Standards (MSDS) and the critical role of medical faculty in ensuring effective implementation. He also elaborated on PHC’s regulatory framework and strategies for quality assurance in healthcare institutions across Punjab..
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks and presentation of a shield to the Chief Guest by Prof. Dr. Syed Amir Gillani, Rector, Green International University.
This event marked a significant step forward in aligning the institution’s practices with provincial healthcare standards.
