Introduction

The Department of Medicine at Ali Fatima Hospital, located in the Zainab Block, is a cornerstone of our tertiary care services. 

Under the distinguished leadership of Prof. Dr. Amir Iqbal (Head of Department & Supervisor of FCPS Post-Graduation Training), the department manages 110 beds across the CCU, High Dependency Unit (HDU), and Emergency Ward. We serve as a primary referral center in Lahore, offering consultant-led care for complex multisystem diseases and acute medical emergencies 24/7.

Our Medical OPD operates daily, providing expert consultations in Rooms 7, 8, and 9. In addition to general internal medicine, we offer high-volume specialized clinics:

• Rheumatology Clinic: Twice a week, focusing on arthritis and autoimmune disorders.
• Gastroenterology & Nephrology: Specialized weekly clinics for liver, digestive, and kidney diseases.
• Wellness & Screenings: Comprehensive age-related screenings and chronic disease management (Diabetes, Hypertension).

24/7 Emergency & Critical Care (ER/ICU/CCU)

We provide a seamless transition from emergency stabilization to intensive recovery:

• ER Services: A 24/7 staffed Emergency Room capable of handling all urgent medical crises.
• CCU & HDU: Specialized units for cardiac and high-dependency patients requiring continuous mechanical and physiological monitoring.
• Inpatient Care (IPD): 110-bed facility providing round-the-clock medical procedures supported by advanced Radiology and Pathology services.
