FAQs
The department offers comprehensive care for adult patients, including outpatient clinics, inpatient treatment, emergency services, and management of both acute and chronic medical conditions.
It’s basically the branch of medicine that deals with adult health. Internal medicine focuses on diagnosing and managing everything from common illnesses to complex, long-term conditions often when symptoms aren’t very clear or involve more than one system.
An internal medicine specialist is a doctor trained to handle adult medical problems in depth. They don’t just treat one symptom — they look at the whole body, connect the dots, and manage both sudden issues and ongoing conditions over time.
Honestly? When something feels off and you can’t quite pin it down. Ongoing fatigue, fever that won’t quit, blood pressure acting wild, sugar levels jumping around — that’s exactly when internal medicine steps in and connects the dots.
Yes, our department is a prestigious center for FCPS Postgraduate training, offering residents a high-volume clinical environment and expert mentorship under Prof. Dr. Amir Iqbal.
