Ali Fatima Hospital (AFH) has achieved a remarkable medical milestone with the successful completion of its first kidney transplant, marking a significant step forward in the hospital’s commitment to providing advanced, specialized healthcare services.The successful procedure was performed by a highly skilled multidisciplinary transplant team, comprising surgeons, nephrologists, anesthetists, intensivists, doctors, nurses, and dedicated supporting staff. The coordinated efforts, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment of the entire team contributed to the successful outcome of this complex procedure.We are pleased to share that both the kidney donor and recipient are stable and healthy following the transplant and are receiving appropriate post-operative care and monitoring.
Following this landmark achievement, Deputy Chairman GIU, Dr. Muhammad Hamza Amin, and Rector GIU, Prof. Dr. Mubbsher Munawar Khan, visited the patients and congratulated Medical Superintendent Dr. Dimple Mustafa and her team on this significant accomplishment.
